Beveridge was an expert on the
scholarly languages and his Institutiones chronologicarum, was the result
of twelve years study. The second section, ‘Arithmetices chronologicae’,
besides calendrical calculations, gives an account of Roman, Hebrew, Sumarian,
Greek, Syriac, Arabic and Ethiopian number systems, with typeset characters in
tables and in the text.
